The topics covered in this course include steering/suspension, electrical systems, and many more. This course is designed to prepare you for certification tests in: MACS A/C Certification and Hunter Wheel Alignment Certification.

Some of the topics covered are engine performance, tune-up and maintenance, computer controls/diagnosis, and advanced electrical systems. This course is designed to preare you for certification tests in: MACS A/C Cert, CA State Brake Inspection/Adj. License, CA State Inspection/Adj. License.

This course covers all the topics in Auto Mechanics plus smog control. This course covers all the previous courses and prepares you for most industry level certifications including ASE Certification. This course also includes smog certification. Some of the topics covered are air conditioning with certification, brakes, computer control, and fuel systems.

automotiveservice writer

This course has been designed to develop skills needed for entry level positions as a light duty auto mechanic/service writer. The successful graduate will be employable as a mechanic or service writer in tune up shops, tire shops, dealerships, service centers, manufacturing plants and self employment. Students receive instruction and training in: brakes, electrical systems, computer control, tune ups,customer service, estimating, work flow, and service procedures.




Modesto Technical College's School of Automotive Technology

Modesto Technical College provides training in trade and technical areas. Training for the beginner as well as the advanced Technician is available. For the Automotive Technician, Smog Training and Up-date classes for the Automotive Technician are available. Our training school is centrally located in Modesto California and can serve all of Northern California. Our location is especially convenient for students in Stockton, Tracy, Sacramento, Merced and Fresno.


Smog Certification Training

Prepare for your State Smog Cert Test and become BAR Certified. We provide all the resources and tools needed for you to become licensed.
