Modesto Technical College’s Industrial Technology and HVAC training school offers fundamental and real world hands-on training of industrial equipment and systems. Our campus has state-of-the-art hardware, as well as reference material for students to gain knowledge and experience. Students will learn and master basic principles, concepts, and applications that will allow them to operate and maintain the equipment required for the operation of modern industrial facilities.
Successful graduates will be employable in shopping centers, manufacturing plants, hospitals, schools, commercial buildings, apartment complexes, and in self-employment.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment outlook for general maintenance and repair workers will experience average employment growth and increase at a rate of 11% through 2018.
School of Welding Technology

School of Industrial Refrigeration Technology
Train to become an Industrial Refrigeration Technician with RETA Certification at Modesto Technical College in California. We are the only Vocational College in the entire West Coast to offer state-of-the-art training in Industrial & Ammonia Refrigeration.
These classes are designed for refrigeration technicians, engineers, and maintenance personnel from meat packing, refrigerated warehousing, and pharmaceutical industries. Students will receive hands-on and theory based training to become skilled in the operation, service, and maintenance of industrial refrigeration equipment.
Hands-on industrial ammonia refrigeration operator training at Modesto Technical College offers a unique opportunity. Refrigeration technicians and engineers from many industries have an opportunity to use real equipment for their training. This realistic type of training is very effective in teaching employees correct procedures while allowing them to also see the consequence of what could happen if they do not follow operating procedures. Our program allows all students to full participate in the training process, to practice their skills and develop their knowledge.
